I've changed the name of this blog. It's called sssh as a tongue in cheek aside to the stereotypical librarian.

What happened to 2010.

It's May and I haven't posted a comment since January.

Case study

Spent some time today looking at the folders left behind in Shared Drive project.

Some are taking up many GBs of space. I'm thinking these could stand a little extra investigation.

Shared drive project

I probably should have been blogging about the shared drive project since it started way back in October 2008.

The first phase of the project ended on December 18 2009 and during the summer break before people come back from leave and the next phase of the project starts I thought it would be a good time to reflect on the project and what I learnt about information management, project management, people management and self management along the way.

I have committed to putting something on this blog every day in January so I intend to go back to the beginning of the project and work my way forward from there.

New Year's resolution - Not

I didn't make any New Year's resolutions, or none I'm willing to share. This was based on the advice of lot's of commentators who said not to as you only got depressed when you failed to complete within the first few days of the New Year.

However I did write a list of things to do on my return to work on my last day last year.

One of these was to blog each day!

In the next few days I'll have a go at capturing my thoughts about the shared drive project
